Alex started writing crime because she loved reading that genre. She researches her books well and has contacts in the legal profession, with Strathclyde Police and also has help from one of the country’s top forensic scientists. Alex will talk about her latest book, Five Ways to Kill a Man.
Craig Russell is the author of the award-winning Fabel series of novels, set in contemporary Hamburg, Germany, and the Lennox novels, set in the Glasgow of the 1950s.
His novels are published in twenty-three languages around the world. Chairing this session will be Jim Fraser, who is Professor of Forensic Science and Director of the University of Strathclyde's Centre for Forensic Science. His research interests focus mainly on effective use of science and technology in support of criminal justice. His latest book is Forensic Science: A Very Short Introduction .
