Auricle Ensemble
Soprano Alexa Mason (ENO) joins just fifteen Auricle players under conductor Christopher Swaffer to perform Mahler's Songs of a Travelling Wayfarer and Fourth Symphony (with live surtitles) and Debussy's tranquil masterpiece Prelude a Lapres midi dun faune.
These three exquisite reductions form part of Auricles two year Mini Mahler series, in which they are performing all of the available Mahler arrangements made for Schoenberg's Private Music Society in the early 1920's Vienna.
