Our incredibly popular series of recitals continues with more fine music and tasty homemade cakes. This month we are joined by the wonderful Ruth Morley on Flute and Rhian Macleod on Marimba.
This is an unusual and beautiful combination of instruments, played by 2 players who will be familiar to Scottish audiences.
The repertoire includes Latin American music by Astor Piazzolla and Ricardo Lorenz, some quirky
French refinement in "Pantomimes" by Jean Michel Damase, Ian Clarke's show piece for flute "The Great Train Race" and lovely mix of Japanese and Western Classical style in "Kassouga" by Makoto Shinohara.
