Southern rock icons LYNYRD SKYNYRD have announced a UK run for next March. The resurgent seven-piece released their Roadrunner/Loud & Proud debut, ‘God & Guns’, to critical acclaim on 28th September. Backed with strong radio support and great reviews in the UK, the album’s first week sale was a colossal 997% up on the previous album’s first week figure! Lynyrd Skynyrd are definitely back with a vengeance!
‘God & Guns’ was recorded in Nashville in late 2008 and early ‘09, with the project being interrupted - but, tellingly, not ended - by the deaths of founding member/keyboardist Billy Powell and longtime bassist Ean Evans earlier this year. Yet, the band rock on and are bringing their uniquely American sound to these shores in March. Dates rack up as follows:
